Tattoos are an artistic and sexy expression that has lately become a mega trend in all sectors of society. Tattoos are a form of permanent body modification to shock, to delight and to excite.

Tattooing has been practiced for centuries and is strongly embedded in many cultural roots.

Getting tattoos removed is expensive and if you are going ahead and being inked without giving it too much thought and allowing yourself to be a victim of a fad then the essence of it being sexy or perceived to be sexy seems to lose the intent.

Tattoos can be sexy when they’re in right the place, are kept to a minimal and are meaningful. There’s that element of surprise and intrigue that adds to an individual’s character as a tat is revealed spelling the clear veil of significance.

From a female perspective the element of fear, raw masculine roughness, a scruff masculine sexual prowess can be highly sexy and sexually luring. The right kinds of tattoo can emphasis men’s true masculinity at times.

From a male perspective the element of female sexuality at its rawness, a depiction of the ‘Amazon Woman’; strong and not sexually afraid to take what she wants even if by force. Men subconsciously conjure images of being succumbed to female domination and aggression and sexuality at its primal.

Directed by controversial photographer Terry Richardson, the video for Wrecking Ball shows Cyrus using an actual wrecking ball as a stripper’s pole, liking sledgehammers and grinding up against pretty much everything within her reach.

Having worked together before, it’s not surprising the duo pushed the sexual envelope here – the singer twerked for Richardson in a sexy photo shoot in August, but they decided to take things to the next level.

Fresh off her raunchy VMA performance, Miley launched the shocking new video this week, dividing fans and critics once again.“Miley has shot with Terry a lot over the years so she’s very comfortable with him and she trusts him,” a source said.

“She chose him to direct her video because he’s all about pushing boundaries and making a statement. That’s what Miley’s into right now,” the source adds.

“Miley loved the idea of going naked because it suits the song — she’s showing her naked emotions. It’s her vulnerable side and it’s not something she shows very often, so having nudity made sense.”

Wrecking Ball is a song about a partner who destroyed her, but visually, does the sexual innuendo actually relate to the single?

The licking of a sledgehammer, riding nude on a wrecking ball, and forcefully turning to show her backside are all seen in the video.

Supporters of Cyrus are arguing that the singer was baring all because the song is about being torn apart by the bad relationship.

To others, she is making another attempt at shocking the world so everyone talks about her.

Wrecking Ball is the second single off of Cyrus’ forthcoming studio album BANGERZ which is slated to drop on October 8.

Cyrus recently split with long-time fiance, actor Liam Hemsworth.

Ok lets go old school, or old-world, and look at the roots of this religious holiday. Easter was a long held fertility festival celebrated long before the time of Christ. Easter is named after the Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess of sexual fertility, Eostre. The Germanic people worshiped her as Ostara whilst she was known as Ishtar in the Middle East and Africa . Notice the similarities with Easter? Her Latin Name is Oestre which is where the hormone associated with female fertility, oestrogen, is derived from. The mythic hare, or Easter Bunny as it has become known as, is sacred to the goddess and stretching as far back as ancient Egypt , it remains one of the oldest symbols of fertility. Eggs are another obvious symbol of fertility and rebirth.

The date that the pagan ritual and the modern Christian holiday falls on is also important. The ancient people celebrated the festival of Eostre 14 days after the Equinox, which was also traditionally the time the Resurrection of Jesus was celebrated. The ancient festival was also a celebration of the changing of seasons, which may also give additional significance to the segments on hot cross buns as they can be seen to represent the four different seasons. So how did these two separate religious occasions become intertwined?

It is believed that around the second century AD, Christian missionaries, seeking to convert the pagan tribes of Europe , realized that the Crucifixion of Christ coincided with pagan fertility celebrations. These missionaries sought to graft the story of Jesus’ resurrection to the traditional beliefs of Pagan Europe in order to make Christianity more acceptable. This also had the effect of seeing many Pagan beliefs absorbed into the Cannon of Christian beliefs. Hence the confusing story of Easter.
