Since questions on this topic are so common, and answers to them really are hard to find, sex researcher Dr Justin Lehmiller set out to answer them.

1. What’s the average penis size?

It is impossible to definitively say what the average penis size is, there has been little to no research on the topic. Lehmiller, however, found some scientific literature that analysed the size of over 15,000 penises from around the world and found that the average penis size when erect is:
Length 5.2 inches

Width 1.5 inches

If you’ve been worried that you’re smaller than average, hopefully, this puts your mind at ease.

2. Are there racial differences in penis size?

Once again, because there isn’t much research on penis size and how it varies between races it’s hard to say. Based on the above mentioned scientific research on penis size, it didn’t find any racial differences. In other words, it would seem as though most penises are pretty similar around the globe.

Those racial stereotypical beliefs are just a myth, race is not an indication of how much you’re packing.

3. Can you tell the size of a man’s penis from the size of his shoes?

We all heard the saying “You know what they say about guys with big feet…” but is there any truth to it?

According to a study in 2002, the answer is no. You cannot tell how big a man’s penis is based on how big his feet are. So, even dudes with tiny feet can have an impressive schlong.

But wait for it, because this might be unexpected!

There is some statistical correlation between the size of your manhood and your height, so, it looks like you can kinda tell how well-endowed a dude is by his height. Yay, to being tall.

4. Do women think bigger is better?

It really comes down to taste. Bigger, for some women is not always better.

Several studies have proven that the majority of women are totally satisfied with the size of their partner’s penis. Regardless if it’s on the smaller side or pretty big.

Plus, another study found that penis size makes literally no difference in sexual satisfaction in women.  More to the point, when women were asked what penis size is best, women tend to pick an average size penis instead of a big one.

All that said, some women prefer big boys when they are in the mood for visual gratification or that is just their preference. Everyone is different.

5. How can I make my penis bigger?

There are all kinds of gimmicks out there in the market, and according to Justin Lehmiller, they don’t work.

So invest your efforts in something that does work. Know what works for women, what makes them orgasm. Whether your well-endowed or lacking in the trouser department, what matters is that you pay attention to your partner’s pleasure and size then doesn’t really matter.

The truth of the matter is that the penis size is only one small piece of the sexual equation.

The security guard, from Edinburgh, Scotland went viral after finally losing his virginity at the age of 44.

Abad had never had sex because his penis was ripped off following a car accident when he was six years old.

The man became stuck after his penis swelled up in the ring spanner on Monday and was he unable to remove it.

Tweed firefighters say it not uncommon for them to be called to such jobs where people leave it too late to ask for help.

“It’s really dangerous because inevitably people leave it too long to come see us because they are embarrassed, or say my wife said to put butter on it, sleep on it and it will go down,” said senior firefighter Peter Sutherland.

“It never does.”

Mr Sutherland said one man took his girlfriend with him to the hospital.

“The blood goes into the appendage whether it’s a finger or whatever, it just swells up and by the time you realise it’s too late,” he said.

“We use a tiny angle grinder that’s air operated and use measuring tape to protect the skin and slowly zip away at it while keeping water running on it so it doesn’t get too hot.

“It’s a pretty delicate operation especially where it is, there’s a lot of blood vessels.

“We do quite a few of them.”

A US soldier wounded in an explosion will be the first person in the US to receive a penis transplant, doctors at Johns Hopkins Hospital say, which could open the way for about 60 other servicemen with genital injuries to have this surgery.

Surgeons hope a donated organ from a recently deceased man will provide full function including urination, sensation and sex. The surgery requires joining nerves and blood vessels under a microscope.

Doctors and advocates who work with wounded soldiers note that the loss of the penis is one of the most emotionally traumatic injuries because it affects a sense of identity and manhood, especially for men hoping to become fathers.

“When you meet these guys and you realise what they’ve given for the country, it makes a lot of sense,” Dr Richard Redett, a plastic surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital who will help perform the operation, told Reuters.

The recipient, who was not identified, lost most of his penis and had substantial groin injuries in a bomb explosion while deployed overseas. Media reports have said he was wounded in Afghanistan.

The surgery could occur in the coming weeks. Doctors are looking for a donor who is a good match in terms of age and skin colour. The donor’s family will need to give permission for the penis to be removed.

There have been two penis transplants in the world. The first in China in 2006 was unsuccessful. The second in South Africa in 2014 was a success.

The penis transplant does not involve the testes, where sperm are produced, so if a man with a transplanted penis does father a child, the baby would be his genetic offspring, not the donor’s.

While for now only wounded veterans are being considered for penis transplants, the surgery could eventually be performed on men with birth defects and transgender men and women.

The 52-year-old Mexican measured in at a whopping 18.9 inches (48.2cm), with a tip circumference of 10 inches (25cm), at certification by World Record Academy officials yesterday.

Mr Cabrera had been hoping for recognition by Guinness World Records but had to settle for the less famous certifier after Guinness confirmed it had no category for penis size.

The World Record Academy stepped in after Mr Cabrera shared his story with a local journalist in an interview that was picked up by the world press over the weekend.

He told how his massive member had ruined his life, preventing him from having a relationship and even getting a job.

“Look where it is, it goes far below the knees,” Mr Cabrera said.

“I cannot do anything, I cannot work, and I am disabled so I want authorities to declare me as a disabled person and give me support.”

Women were too frightened to have sex with him, so he had never had a long-term girlfriend, let alone a wife.

In 2011 Mr Cabrera was deported from US to Saltillo in the north-eastern Mexican state of Coahuila, where he lives alone in a room given to him by his brothers. He survives on social assistance and scavenges for food and materials on waste dumps. He has no friends and says people “shun” him wherever he goes.

Before his record was made official, Mr Cabrera had a medical examination and X-ray of his phallus to support his application for disability. Doctors at a medical institution in Saltillo have confirmed the scan is genuine, The Mirror reported.

Some experts have suggested Mr Cabrera consider a shaft reduction operation but it is not clear what his thoughts are on the subject.

The previous record holder for penis length was an American called Johan Falcon, whose 13.38 inch manhood (34cm) was dwarfed by Mr Cabrera’s.

Over the past couple of days, journalists have compared the size of the Mexican’s penis to that of a horse and a rounders’ bat. But the most helpful visual has come from the Daily Star, who pointed out that the smallest man ever documented was just two inches taller — or longer — than Mr Cabrera’s unfortunate appendage.

Mr Cabrera’s story and struggle for help is to be published in a book called El Sordido Pudor, which translates as “Sordid Shyness”.

Scientists at the University of Zurich recently published a study in The Journal of Sexual Medicine that asked, What is a good looking penis?” They used a focus group of 105 women, ranging from ages 16 to 45, to rank the “importance of eight penile aspects” — from girth to pubic hair — by showing them a wide range of penises. They then had to describe them as “normal” or not.

Their conclusion: Size doesn’t really matter, as long as it’s beautiful and well-groomed.

A man who was born with two penises due to a rare medical condition called Diphillia has stirred up a storm in the chartrooms of entertainment site, Reddit, during the “Ask Me Anything” session.

There’s no sure way of knowing whether this is a hoax, but frankly, the photo of the genitals of the man known only as DoubleDickDude is quite compelling. Perhaps supporting the validity of his double package is the fact that one in six million boys are born with two penises, but most have the extra appendage removed at an early age.

According to this mystery man, having two dicks is pretty great:
