So put your $3.50 away, your morning fix is on them. From 9am-11am every morning in June, Metro St James cafe in Sydney is doing its bit to keep the romance alive as the temperatures drop.

Unfortunately, the staff aren’t getting in on the action – so you’ll have to find a partner to take along. Office flirtation? This may be your chance to plant one on your morning coffee buddy.

Their cheeky promotional video shows a waiter telling a loved-up couple the ground rules.

“Do you know instead of paying, you can kiss for a free coffee?

“We’ll watch you. It has to be a real kiss … a true kiss. I can see if it is a fake kiss. I am kind of a specialist,” he teases.

“At Metro St James we don’t want your money. Just your kisses!”

The French cafe opened its doors near St James Station in the Sydney CBD just three months ago and the latest promotion is already making it a hit with the morning crowd.

The idea has also gone down well on social media with users saying the novel concept is bringing romance back.
