<p>So what do you do if you think you’ve met your soulmate at work? It’s tricky, but if you can communicate honestly with your partner and your employer and maintain boundaries in the office, you might be able to make it work — just don’t take that as permission to use the office as your own personal casual dating pool.</p>
<p>If you simply must pursue your co-worker crush, here are seven expert tips for dating a fellow employee the right way.</p>
<p><b>DETERMINE YOUR MOTIVES</b></p>
<p>“Try to think objectively and ask yourself, ‘Why am I interested in this person?’ We get close to people during projects and initiatives. What will happen after the project ends? Do you have anything else in common?” – Liz D’Aloia, founder, HR Virtuoso</p>
<p><b>CHECK THE RULES FIRST</b></p>
<p>“Many organisations have rules about dating colleagues [but] not because dating a colleague is a bad thing. You may share common interests and motivations and you may both love the organisation. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>THE wife of one of the workers caught having sex in the office — in full view of a pub full of people — has cried “non stop” since the romp became public.</p>
<p>The encounter between the two colleagues at Christchurch insurance company Marsh Ltd was photographed and filmed by scores of people at the busy Carlton Bar, who then posted the images online.</p>
<p>Stuff.co.nz reported today the man was a manager at the company and was married with children. His devastated wife was no longer speaking to him and had been crying “non-stop”, a source said.</p>
<p>Neither the man or the woman were at work today. Calls to their office lines were answered by colleagues and the man wasn’t answering his cellphone.</p>
<p>The woman has deleted her Facebook page.</p>
<p>A Marsh Ltd spokesman said it was “an internal” matter and wouldn’t comment.</p>
<p>The images of the steamy affair quickly went viral.</p>
<p>“Opposite the Carlton bar where the whole pub knew about it and was watching, while they were totally oblivious to it. And afterwards celebrating with wine,” Alex Wilton wrote on Facebook, alongside photos of the man and woman.</p>
<p>Marsh Ltd said on Monday that an investigation had been launched.</p>
<p>“Marsh is very disappointed by the conduct of two colleagues at our Christchurch premises,” company chief Grant Milne said in a statement.</p>
<p>“The inappropriate actions of those two individuals are not representative of the many professional colleagues we have at Marsh.”</p>
<p>It is understood that the pair thought the tinted windows in the office would stop anyone from looking in, TVNZ reported.</p>
<p>“Everyone knew about it,” Mr Wilton told 3 News. “The band that was playing at the time stopped because everyone else was more interested in watching them &#8230; We all had a good laugh. It was the highlight of the night.”</p>
<p>The fate of the unnamed lovers is not yet known.</p>
