If any of you felt a fluctuation in the force last week it was most likely due to Adelaide’s hosting of the 2011 Miss Nude Australia pageant.
It might not be the most obvious attraction on the City Of Churches calendar, but bugger us if it isn’t the best! 14 of Australia’s most beautiful, intelligent and motivated women are bussed in and put head to head for a week of intense scrutiny and performance. Not only do they compete for the crown and title of Miss Nude 2011, there’s also $20,000 on the line!
This year the judges were up against it right from the get-go. In the past, while all the girls have been stunning, there would often be a superstar in the field, maybe two… this year we had 14 stars, all of whom were ready to go super-nova!
The shows put on by these picturesque performers were everything we expected and more – the feathers, the sequins, the dance moves, the flexibility, the bodies, everything about their stage shows was mind-blowing.
The 8 girls that made the final did so with the smallest point margin between the top place and eighth place in the competitions history.
Not only was the crowd treated to one of the strongest fields in recent memory, pole dancing goddess, Vanity flew in from Paris to guest star and give the competing girls some real inspiration with her electrifying aerial skills and pole work.
When all was said and done the judges were called upon to decide this year’s winner and although the choice was difficult, the crown was deservedly won by Montana from Victoria, 1st Runner-Up went to Electra from West Australia and Sash de Bleu From South Australia took out the last spot on the podium.
It was another top-shelf event. A week of fierce competition between some Australia’s hottest talent, all of whom carried themselves with total grace and class while living up to the excellent reputation the Miss Nude Australia pageant has earned over the years.
All hail Miss Nude!
