Rob Zombie’s newest cinematic trick or treat is Halloween; a re-imagining of the 1978 classic horror film of the same name.
The story follows a young Michael Myers who, after killing all members of his own family bar one, is sent to the nut-house for what will most likely be the rest of his natural life.
Focusing on his rehabilitation is Dr. Sam Loomis (played by Clockwork Orange star Malcolm McDowell) who, unfortunately, after close to 15 years of silence from Myers, is forced to ditch his unco-operative and now further disturbed patient. After all help seems lost, Myers packs up his best masks and breaks out of his cell to reclaim the little sister he didn’t murder – gruesomely stopping anybody who tries to get in his way.
If you like your horror movies you can trust that Rob Zombie knows what he is doing with the genre and that you won’t miss your hard earned dollars spent on your ticket. This thrill infested, 109 minute kill-fest ensures whoever you take with you will be holding your arm long after the final scene.
Everything you’d want in a campy horror flick is here including blood, boobs and the bogeyman. Just make sure you don’t have to spend the night alone!
