Busty Brit Kelly Brook was second, followed by former model and actress Brigitte Bardot. Dame Helen Mirren came fourth, thanks to last year’s beach holiday snaps of her toned tum.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here beauty Myleene Klass and her white jungle swimsuit made the list, compiled by shaving product Gillette Venus Embrace, along with Hollywood stars Halle Berry and Megan Fox.

The bikini took the world by storm after it caught on in the US in 1949 and has become one of the most popular items of female beachwear.
