In this day and age, every man and his dog has a smart phone – or at least an Instagram account, seriously the amount of dogs I see on there is alarming…Unlike those cute dogs, your smart phone isn’t always your best friend. In fact, when it comes to relationships, they can be a curse. You may not realise it but your smart phone is ruining your relationship. Don’t believe me? Read on…

Bedtime Bothers

I’m not going to pretend that I’m not guilty of this one myself – hopping into bed, but instead of turning to my significant other (SO) and snuggling up for a little cuddle time, I decide I’ll just quickly check my Facebook notifications…then my Instagram…then my Pinterest…Next thing I know an hour has passed by and it’s way past bedtime with no time for cuddles or anything more amorous. AND I wake up grumpy the next day from lack of sleep. Turn off that phone and turn to your SO to show them that they’re more important to you than those likes on the latest photo you posted.

Impatient Interactions

Long gone are the days when you had to wait hours to have a conversation with your SO. These days, communication is immediate, and as a result, we’re becoming increasingly impatient if someone doesn’t respond to our text messages/phone calls instantly. Have you found yourself in an argument with your SO about the fact that they didn’t get back to you immediately? I know I have. And unfairly so. Don’t expect your SO to be glued to their phone and respond instantly, as that’s just likely to make them develop an addiction to their phone if they haven’t already.

Dinner Disasters

How many times have you found yourself at dinner with your SO and found yourself staring at your phone rather than at them? It’s so easy to get distracted by a phone going off, or even just looking to fill a ‘lull’ in the conversation. Don’t give in to temptation – put it on silent and do NOT leave your phone on the table.

Killing Communication

Do you find it hard to articulate yourself in a conversation face-to-face when it’s about a serious or potentially argument-causing issue? These days, we’re relying more on more on our phones to be a buffer in a way and avoiding tackling the tricky topics face to face by waiting until we can text about it instead. Be sure to discuss any serious issues with your SO face to face and leave your phone in another room, no matter how difficult it may be to do both of these things. It’s so important to have open and honest communication within a relationship and be able to show and share your feelings with each other. You’ll feel so much closer for having those tough conversations in person, trust me.

Avoiding awkward silences on dates, the greatest advice from a queen of awkward……… Imagine this: You’re about half an hour into a first date, the conversation has been pretty standard...

Avoiding awkward silences on dates, the greatest advice from a queen of awkward………

Imagine this: You’re about half an hour into a first date, the conversation has been pretty standard – work, hobbies, family etc. – and then suddenly there’s a lull. That lull stretches on for a definitely-not-comfortable length of time. You start panicking, looking around for something to talk about, then you spot a vacuum cleaner propped up against a wall just inside the bar area. “Oh I really need a new vacuum cleaner,” you say. He looks confused, you feel yourself begin to blush, then the two of you spend the next 10 minutes having a terribly forced conversation about the merits of different vacuum cleaner types and brands.

Yeah, this happened to me a few years ago. Not even kidding. I am the queen of awkward.

When you’re getting to know someone new, these things happen. But trust me when I say that it pays to be prepared. Because it is mortifying to find yourself waffling on to your date about Dysons versus Hoovers. Fear not! Here are some tips to keep that conversation flowing smoothly:

Don’t Panic
Sounds pretty simple, but when there’s a bit of a break in conversation, try to relax and don’t overreact. I’m sure you’ll find that the ‘awkward silence’ was neither as long nor as awkward as it might feel. Take those couple of seconds to mentally gather yourself and come up with something interesting. Unless your date beats you to it, of course. I had a first date who clearly panicked and filled a pause in convo by asking me how I would kill someone if I had to. I think he was trying to be quirky and admittedly we were just discussing Game of Thrones, but still…

The 6P’s!
Have you heard of the 6P’s? The 6P’s are a super simple concept – Prior planning prevents piss-poor performance. So basically, if you know you’re not a master conversationalist, be sure to ‘plan’ some conversation topics in advance. It isn’t as weird as it might sound and the conversation can still flow naturally without you sounding like you’re reading off of palm cards. Also note: Do not read off palm cards! Just make some mental notes of things you might ask about: any interesting holidays or events coming up, an awesome trip you or they have taken, a good movie or music gig you’ve seen/been to lately, what you like doing in your spare time etc. Once you’re onto a topic, it should flow pretty organically from there.

Not-So-Mutual Interests
If it’s a first date and you met online, you would have – in theory – spent quite some time chatting beforehand. This will give you some topics to work with. Did your date mention an interest in an unusual or fascinating hobby or job that you don’t know a lot about? People are great are talking about themselves, so if you show a genuine interest in something that they’ve mentioned to you, that’ll pave the way to a good chat and you might even learn a thing or two. If it isn’t a first date, you should already have some material to work with.

Have A Laugh
Failing all that, if the silence is stretching on and it is obviously noticeable to both of you, laugh it off! Chances are that your date is just as nervous as you are and is also freaking out about potentially awkward silences. So if it happens, acknowledge it, have a little laugh about it, then move on. You’ll both be more at ease for it.

I know for a fact that I’m not the only one who spends ages agonising over what to wear on a first date. Nine times out of ten, you end up with a literal mountain of clothes on the bed before deciding to go with the first outfit that you tried on. Still, the struggle is real. So how do you take the anguish out of dressing for a first date? Whether you’re a man or woman, here are a couple of pointers. Here are three tips to help you decide what to wear for your first date to bring across your personality, confidence and style.

1. Consider Your Venue

If you’re meeting at a bar for the date, you probably shouldn’t rock up in a tuxedo or ball gown, right? It’s obviously important to suss out the venue. If you’ve never been there before or don’t know a whole lot about it, check out their website and see if they’ve got any pictures of other people that have been there for events or just to get an idea of how fancy it is and the usual standard of dress.

2. Dress for the Hour

Are you meeting for brunch? Would you go to brunch in a pair of 6-inch stilettos if you were going out with girlfriends? Alternatively, if you’re meeting for a post-dinner drink, would you rock up in a pair of thongs and denim shorts? Dressing appropriately for the time of day is just as important as considering the venue. You’ll stick out for all the wrong reasons if you don’t.

3. Do ‘You’

You want to be comfortable on the date, so just do you! There’s nothing wrong with wanting to put your best foot forward and make an impression by looking good and smelling nice, but don’t overdo it and definitely don’t wear something that you usually wouldn’t. It will make you feel even more nervous and anxious, and you won’t look super confident if you spend half the night tugging at your clothes.

A BIZARRE new trend sees women wear nothing but duct tape on nights out.

And while you might be used to seeing super skimpy outfits at swinger’s events, these ladies are sauntering around in nightclubs wearing nothing but tiny pieces of tape cut by hand and then artfully placed around the body to attract attention — and it’s certainly an eye-catching look.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BTRJJ3JhFBq/

The trend has been made famous by the Black Tape Project, a US firm who “tape up” models to attend events in the racy style.

They claim their unusual fashion “outfits” combine one of the most common household items with the beauty of the human body.

And the tape art movement has certainly not gone unnoticed online.

The company’s Instagram page boasts over 169,000 followers who flock to see images of nude women partially covered in tape designs.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BSKGcwGhMyz/

https://www.instagram.com/p/BRHUQa8hkPM/

https://www.instagram.com/p/BQgcJNlBfXg/

Black Tape Project was created by Miami artist, Joel Alvarez, who showcases the business idea at clubs in Miami as well as in collaboration with stars.

In the company’s four years since its conception, the tape designs have been displayed in Las Vegas, New York City, the Caribbean and several countries in Europe.

The company recently shared a video clip featuring a model taking a dip in the sea with nothing but a glittering gold design covering her.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BS0vGSJhx2v/

Many people have been quick to share their views on the tape movement.

One viewer wrote: “What even is it? I’m so confused.”

Another asked: “How do you put it on?”’

https://www.instagram.com/p/BOcvXCfBaNf/

Others were mesmerised by the unusual “bikini” style.

One wrote: “Absolutely stunning design.”

We wouldn’t fancy ripping that all off afterwards …

Luckily for Isaac Newton, he wasn’t sitting under a melon tree when he discovered the laws of gravity.

Amber Rose proved hers at least do not appear to obey them as she posted a jaw-dropping ad for a backless, strapless bra on Tuesday.

Not a word is spoken in the ten-second clip, nor is there any need.

In it, the 33-year is sat on a bed in full makeup, topless save for the tiny piece of miracle fabric.

Each of the Atlas-esque cups are charged with containing one the video vixen’s enormous breasts, and appear to be doing an impressive job while the camera rolls at least.

Amber pouts as she jiggles them around, while Newton’s third law of equal and opposite reaction somehow keeps the undergarment in place.

But it’s not finished showing off its tricks just yet: taking a deep breath, Rose pulls the drawstring connecting the straining sides, pulling her boobs together for an even higher cleavage.

Desired effect achieved, the mother-of-one then flashes her famous smile.

FEMALE celebs these days? They just can’t stop talking about (caring for) their vaginas.

This week, Beauty and the Beast actress Emma Watson revealed how she uses a $US40 product called Fur Oil on her pubic hair.

“It’s an amazing all-purpose product,” the 26-year-old told beauty website Into the Gloss. She uses it on her eyebrows — as well as her lady parts.

She’s certainly not the first star to open up about varying treatments designed to keep things shipshape down there.

Here are five other examples:

ALL ABOUT THE LASERS

Kourtney Kardashian may have joked on Conan in December 2010 that she uses mayonnaise to shine up her genitals, but the reality-TV family has been deadly serious about their enthusiasm for ThermiVa. For the uninitiated, it’s a wand that dermatologists insert into the vaginal canal to heat tissue, stimulate collagen and revitalise the area. “My sisters, they’ve had kids, and there’s a vaginal lasering thing to tighten it,” Khloe Kardashian said on her show, Kocktails with Khloe, in August last year. “So in my household, all they do is talk about this vagina laser.”

SUNBATHE YOUR HOO-HA

No genitalia subject is taboo for Big Little Lies actress Shailene Woodley, who shared advice with Into the Gloss. “Another thing I like to do is give my vagina a little vitamin D,” she explained in March 2014. “If you live in a place that has heavy winters, when the sun finally comes out, spread your legs and get some sunshine.”

STEAM IS THE ANSWER

Gwyneth Paltrow has long been a fan of vaginal steaming. Goop, the wellness website of everyone’s favourite blonde goddess, advocated for the cleansing practice of an herbal “mugwort v-steam” in January 2015, but gynaecologists were less convinced about its effectiveness.

Still, a year later, Paltrow spoke to website the Cut and sang the praises of the steaming technique, citing its “real healing properties”. She admitted that she was sceptical at first. “The first time I tried v-steaming, I was like: ‘This is insane.’ My friend Ben brought me, and I was like: ‘You are out of your fu**ing mind. What is this?’ But then, by the end of it, I was like: ‘This is so great.’”

Meanwhile, an early, lesser-known adopter of the v-steam was reality-show star Tamera Mowry, who first indulged her lady bits in 2013, sitting on a toilet-like contraption that blasted hot steam, mugwort tea and wormwood into her vagina. It’s apparently an old Korean tradition.

LOTIONS AND POTIONS

Lauren “Lo” Bosworth hasn’t done much on TV since her heady days in twin reality series Laguna Beach and The Hills, but she gets props for her entrepreneurship. Last year, the beach blonde launched her own line of feminine hygiene products to tackle “tricky infections and irritations” down below. “This is something that was created out of necessity for myself and my friends, women that I know,” Bosworth said about her Love Wellness brand. The lotions and potions range from pH-balancing Do It All Wipes to Good Girl Probiotics pills. “There’s no reason why you should have 15 products for your face and zero products for your vagina,” she told the Cut.

EGGSTRAVAGANZA

As we’ve heard, mum-of-two Paltrow can always be relied upon to put women in touch with their inner, er, innards. Her Goop site went bananas over so-called “jade” or “yoni” eggs, which — when inserted into people’s vaginas — are meant to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and improve their sex lives. Doctors, meanwhile, were about as happy about the concept as they were about the v-steam.

The Fitbit counts our steps, the Oura ring tracks our sleep, now a smart condom will monitor our sexual performance.

The company British Condoms has unveiled the i.Con, a ring that fastens at the base of a condom during sex, tracking the speed and number of thrusts, skin temperature and … girth measurement — among other statistics.

The company boasts the i.Con as “extremely comfortable, water resistant and lightweight,” in which wearers will barely notice its there.

The ring uses nano-chips and sensors to take measurements of various bodily indicators and connects to the i.Con app using Bluetooth technology. A user can download their results once the “session” is completed. The statistics — which also include the number of different positions — are kept anonymous. However, a user can share their accomplishments with friends and the rest of the world. Or, they could compare themselves to the numbers posted by other i.Con users.

The i.Con’s battery lasts about six to eight hours. It recharges using a USB port. For those of you wondering, it has a “band adjustment feature” to account for different sizes.

Priced at just more than $60, the i.Con isn’t yet available. British Condoms said it’s still undergoing final testing stages on the i.Con. However, people can pre-order it on the British Condoms website.

A COUPLE caught having sex on CCTV in Domino’s after ordering a stuffed crust pizza boasted last night: “We love having sex in weird places.”

Daniella Hirst, 28, and Craig Smith, 31, were waiting for a 12-inch pepperoni when they “got a bit carried away”.

A 40-second clip sees Daniella performing a sex act on Craig while staff prepare their food.

She then leans over the counter while Craig pulls down her knickers and thrusts away from behind just feet from oblivious workers.

The footage has since gone viral but Daniella said anyone criticising them was “f***ing boring”.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0rD4wkDyEQ

“But obviously I never thought we’d get caught like this and end up all over the internet.”

Smirking builder Craig, 31, said: “After ordering the pizza we talked about all the places we’d had sex with each other.

“Our top five include a bus, a van, a hotel, swimming pool and a field. We wanted to see if we could top it.

“We got a bit frisky and one thing led to another. Domino’s is definitely now our number one – going to be hard to top it.”

The couple had spent the weekend drinking in Leeds celebrating Craig’s birthday when they got the train to Scarborough on Saturday evening.

The pair, from Bridlington, East Yorks, booked into a local pub but felt peckish so headed across the road to Domino’s.

Daniella added: “We laughed as we walked home. We’ve done it all over the place but never anywhere that risky — never with people that close before.

“We got back to the hotel and continued where we left off.

“We woke up the next morning and our friends told us about the CCTV- we just laughed about it going viral.

“That’s just the type of thing that happens to us.”

The couple, who started dating three-and-a-half months ago after meeting in the pub where Daniella works, say they won’t stop.

Daniella added: “Everybody we know has had sex in risky places. It’s just one of them things that people do.

“Unfortunately for us it ended up on the internet.

“We’re open minded. We won’t do it in Domino’s again. Maybe Pizza Hut.

“So long as you’re not hurting anyone else I don’t see what the problem is.

“You can’t please everyone — but at least Craig is happy.”

The couple refused to blame the Dominos staff member who posted the CCTV on Twitter and said they would have done the same.

But they now fear arrest from the cops for public indecency. Pals have supported them on Facebook but their family remain tight-lipped.

The pair plan to celebrate Craig’s 31st birthday. Craig added: “We’re going for an Indian.”

Daniella advised critics online: “Rule number 1, never waste ya boyfriend’s b***r and always opt for stuffed crust.”

Asked about the incident, a spokesperson for the Domino’s shop said: “We can’t comment on something like that — it’s a no comment from us.”

32-year-old actress Scarlett Johansson recently split from her second husband Roman Dauriac and has opened up to Playboy Magazine in a new interview in the March/April 2017 issue. She was very candid about her opinions on a range of topics, including marriage. What’s so exciting about that? Scar Jo is quoted as saying that she thinks it isn’t “natural” to be a monogamous person…

…and we couldn’t be happier to hear it!

She says “I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it’s a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing,”

“I don’t think it’s natural to be a monogamous person. I might be skewered for that, but I think it’s work. It’s a lot of work. And the fact that it is such work for so many people — for everyone — the fact of that proves that it is not a natural thing. It’s something I have a lot of respect for and have participated in, but I think it definitely goes against some instinct to look beyond.” Source: news.com.au

Johansson, goes on to discuss her views on marriage, feminism and pregnancy – but we won’t bore you with all that. Instead, feast your eyes on the natural beauty while letting the news that she isn’t into monogamy sink in…

Here are our favourite Scar Jo gif moments:

That moment when she shared a steamy kiss with Penelope Cruz in Vicki Cristina Barcelona:

That moment when her bouncing bosom stole the show in He’s Just Not That Into You:

That moment when we all wished we were Bradley Cooper:

That moment that we all realised this was our ultimate fantasy…

The Brownlow is AFL’s biggest night of the year, although often the event is overshadowed by the stunning fashions of the WAGs! We’re pretty sure the boys aren’t complaining though. This year the fashion was definitely ‘less is more’, with plunging necklines and backless dresses being the style of choice for the majority of ladies in attendance. It’s no surprise at RedHotPie we love those that aren’t afraid to flash a little flash and bare all, so with that in mind….here’s our list of the Top 10 Best Dressed Brownlow 2016 WAGs, RedHotPie style!

10. Alex Pendelbury

Scott Pendelbury’s wife knows that black never goes out of style – and she caught our eye in this classy yet stunning black gown with a hint of midriff and a matching choker. Nice!

9. Annie Nolan

Choosing to buck the trend of ‘flesh is best’, Liam Picken’s partner caught our attention for daring to be different and covering up in a sexy, feminine suit – who would’ve thought that just a hint of ankle might seem racy!

8. Mardi Dangerfield

Patrick Dangerfield’s wife sent pulses racing in this racy red plunging number, paired with a sparkly choker chain that had us thinking bad thoughts. Patrick won the Brownlow Medal this year, in case you were at all curious!

7. Annabel Whiting

So simple yet so striking – Robbie Gray’s partner showed just the right amount of flesh with a barely-there top half in this gorgeous black gown.

6. Jesinta Campbell

No best dressed list would be complete without Lance Franklin’s uber-hot arm candy in this plunge playsuit, which flashed maximum amounts of leg and almost indecent amounts of cleavage.

5. Lauren Tscharke

A figure higging gown with a plunging (but modestly so) neckline and sexy AF sheer panels showing off some seriously toned thigh and a hint of booty? Bryce Gibbs’ partner got it SO right in the fashion stakes. Bravo!

4. Courtney Boyd

Making news for all the wrong reasons, Tom Lynch’s partner was the subject of ‘almost suffers a nip slip’ headlines for wearing this dress. We think the colour is a welcome change from black and white – and can you believe she had a baby just a few months ago?! She deserves to show off that killer bod!

3. Dani Orlando

Bucking the trend of dresses cut down to the belly button, Luke Shuey’s partner decided to cut her dress down to her butt crack instead. Classy yet sexy as hell.

2. Jordan Ablett

Love it or hate it, you gotta give Gary Ablett Jr’s wife credit for being daring enough to pull off this ensemble! While we love the racy red, we aren’t too sold on the choice of shoe….

1. Jessie Habermann

Choosing to go for both a plunging neckline AND (sort of) backless style was this peekaboo daring outfit worn by Marc Murphy’s fiance. It’s one of the most talked-about outfits of the night and it’s not hard to tell why when looking at these images.
