Melbourne’s best kept secret is out of the bag, and her status is now official. For the last ten years, Montana has been lighting up dance venues around Melbourne and funnily enough the blessed lads of Burn City have kept her amazing physique, her seductive moves and her delicious confidence on the down low – no doubt trying to keep this luscious vixen all to themselves.

Well luckily for the rest of us, Montana’s amazing abilities are now very much public knowledge. In August the stunning brunette travelled to Adelaide to take part in the 2011 Miss Nude Australia Pageant and after a week of fierce competition against some of Australia’s most talented dancers, Montana was crowned supreme.

Montana’s win comes ten years after her first foray into the pageant; a factor the dance superstar says played a decisive role in her victory.

“I didn’t have that air of confidence ten years ago” she explains. “Back then I was thinking more about my dance moves rather than looking at the judges and smiling at them… This time round it wasn’t as stressful as it was ten years ago, and all the girls were really nice and we all got along in the change room which was really good. Yeah it just wasn’t as intense as the last time I was in the pageant.”

With experience on her side, Montana not only had the physical prowess, she also had the mental approach down cold. Over the years we’ve seen more than one Miss Nude entrant crack under the pressure, but the sign of a true champion is making it all look effortless.

Montana performed as though she had been the reigning champ all along, and it was a mindset she had willed herself into from the beginning. “Something that I said to myself early on was that I wouldn’t watch the other girl’s shows because that can intimidate you; so I only watched the first couple nights, saw all the girls once and that was it. The last three days I just said ‘no, I’m not going to stress myself out, I’m focusing on taking this thing out’ and that’s how I managed to create that real sense of confidence… just being myself, being able to smile and have a good time.”

With a calm demeanour and brimming with confidence Montana never looked like losing this year’s title. The judges agreed hers was one of the most alluring displays in recent memory and her win was a thoroughly deserved one.

Her win is made that much more impressive when you consider that Montana doesn’t utilize the pole on stage. For so long now the pole has been a popular part of erotic dance but Montana gets it done on the floor.

“I don’t do pole work at all” she says. “I won the title without the pole. I’ve got a neck injury from a car accident a long time ago; I took one pole class and I just found I got a sore neck and back from doing it so I figured I’d just leave it to the younger girls” she says laughing.

“The pole strips are great but I don’t think they’re that sexy so I’ve just never bothered. It’s all down to how you move your hips, it’s all in the hips, and I’ve slowed my dancing down a lot which is a lot more sensual I find.”

It’s that kind of wisdom and understanding of her craft that has taken her to the top of Adult Entertainment in Australia. In fact, erotic dancing has taken Montana all over and allowed her to see the world on her own terms.

“Yeah dancing has taken me all around Australia, I spent my twenties travelling around the country dancing and since I’ve been in my thirties I’ve been to London and Miami to work, and next year I’m going over to Paris to dance.”

“You do this job anywhere in the world. I mean if I go on holidays and I decide I want to stay a bit longer and I’m broke I’ll just go and get a job somewhere, You can find work that day you know.”

And speaking of travel, when quizzed on her plans for the $20,000 prize money that comes with the title, Montana is quick to explain that the cash will be rolled back into her business – most of it anyway.

“I’m going to get a website built to promote myself; I’m getting new business cards designed. I’ll be travelling around Australia doing shows as Miss Nude, I’ll be getting some merchandise made up and then I think I need to shout myself a holiday, maybe to Monkey Mia. I’ve been around a lot of Australia but I haven’t been up in that area as yet.”
