The humble bush is back in the public eye once again. Humble as it may be, it inspires a lot of discussion:

There are people who offer advice on how to groom it. People who make educated guesses on what it means if you decide to groom it this way or the other. You might want to read ‘What’s your pube personality?’
Currently, there are rumors travelling around that women want their pubes ‘au naturel’. A rumor fueled by events such as:

• You might have heard about an American Apparel store in NYC who had mannequins sporting a ‘70’s style bush’. This caused quite a stir.

• Gwyneth Paltrow who on Ellen DeGeneres show admitted that she ‘rocks a 70s vibe down there’ and hence the reason why she had to shave before the premiere of the Iron Man3 as her dress was so sheer.

• Cameron Diaz also has a whole chapter in her book “THE BODY BOOK” entitled “In Praise of Pubes”. Diaz now a self-professed fan of the bush explains in her chapter that women should embrace their pubic hair rather than undergo laser hair removal.

• Lady Gaga, who is always on top of trends, has posed nude on the cover of the new issue of CANDY magazine baring her full-grown lady bush.

• The Times ran an article saying this look, ‘au natural’ just meshes better with “an organic lifestyle of cold press juices …”, and maybe they’re onto something here.

The following questions come to mind:

Is having ‘au naturel’ bush an act of rebellion?

Are we grossed out by ‘Mother Nature’s’ handiwork? Why?

Is shaving, plucking and waxing an act of succumbing to peer pressures?

Have we fallen victims to fashion and accepted ‘bald’ to be the norm?

Is it all too much of a hassle? Maybe you have grown tired of the costly and tortuous battle of constantly trying to keep your fuzz at bay and stuck to what is easy, simple and comfortable to you. What would that be?

Would you change your look down there based on popular culture? What do you think is the ideal look for our fuzz down there?
